    Autotote changed its name to Scientific Games Corporation

    Autotote completed the acquisition of Scientific Games Holdings Corp.

    Autotote launched AEGIS® open lottery gaming system

    Shuffle Master introduces the first multi-deck card shuffler

    Bally Entertainment spun off its slots business as Bally Gaming International

    Bally developed its first video poker machine

  • Autotote Corporation (later Scientific Games Corporation) was incorporated in Delaware and began public trading on NASDAQ

  • 1983

    John Breeding invented the world’s first mechanical card shuffler that would allow every hand to be dealt from a fresh deck; he went on to establish and incorporate Shuffle Master in Minnesota

  • 1981

    The Seeburg Corporation spun off its pinball operations as Williams Electronics, Inc. (later WMS Industries Inc.)

  • 1976

    Bally created a new division called Slot Data System 

  • 1973

    Scientific Games created the world’s first secure instant lottery game

  • 1963

    Bally debuted its three-reel electromechanical slot machine Money Honey, changing the gaming industry landscape

  • 1945

    WW2 ends, Bally resumed slot production, with “Hi-Boy” console

  • 1936

    Raymond Moloney’s Bally company introduced the first slot machine, the “Bally Baby

  • 1932

    Raymond Moloney invented the “Bally Hoo” pinball machine and started building the “Bally” brand with pinball games

  • Harry E. Williams invented the world’s first electro-mechanical pinball machine and began manufacturing under the “Williams” brand
