A side bet system that lets players wager an additional wager to win progressive prizes.

The G3 progressive side bet and bonusing system is a whole new way to reward players. Utilizing the patented Personal Bet Manager, players make an additional wager to win progressive prizes, or Lucky Player, Lucky Dealer and Magic Card mystery bonuses.

The Personal Bet Manager is a "credit bank" mounted into the table in front of each betting spot where players buy-in using chips or cash. Once the player has credits on his Personal Bet Manager, he can wager 1 to 5 credits on both his hand and the dealer's hand. By betting on both hands, the player is able to win all or part of the progressive or mystery bonuses:

The Lucky Player Mystery Bonus is awarded randomly to a player just for betting on his hand that round. If the computer picks the Lucky Dealer, everyone at the table who made a dealer bet wins.
The Magic Card Mystery Bonus awards a bonus pay to a player just for having the magic card in their hand that round. If the dealer gets the magic card that round, everyone making the dealer bet wins.

When a player is ready to leave the table, he simply asks the dealer to cash him out, and receives his credit balance in chips.

Specifications
All equipment needed to operate the G3 progressive side bet system is provided by Shuffle Master. Each table has Personal Bet Managers installed at each player position as well as a dealer keypad, a progressive LCD display and a table controller computer. All G3 tables are linked to a master server that controls the progressive jackpot and runs reports. The master server can be located in a pit stand or off the floor in a back room. Tables are connected together via a dedicated Ethernet cable (CAT5). The casino must have available 4 amps of power at each table, and pull the cable prior to installation.
