Caribbean Stud is a five-card game featuring an exciting optional progressive wager.

Caribbean Stud Poker is a thrilling poker style game that features head-to-head play against the dealer and an optional progressive jackpot wager. Once players receive their cards they have only one decision to make one: whether to fold or stay in the game.

To begin, players must make the Ante bet and may also make the optional progressive wager. Players then receive five cards face down, while the dealer receives four cards face down and one face up. After seeing their cards, players may fold or call with a play bet equal to two times their Ante. After each player has decided to call or fold, the dealer shows his cards, which must contain an Ace-King or higher to qualify and challenge the players’ hands.

If the dealer fails to qualify, players win even money on their Ante bet even if their hand is lower than the dealer‘s. Their play bet pushes. If the dealer qualifies and the player’s hand is higher than the dealer’s, all bets win even money. If the dealer qualifies and beats the player’s hand, all bets lose.

For the progressive wager, the top hands pay a percentage of the progressive jackpot, while other hands pay a fixed dollar amount. In the event that more than one progressive hand hits during the same round, the dealer will first pay the player farthest on his right and then move counter-clockwise to pay other players.
